School-Age Project

stick_tongue_outThe work of the evaluation team is guided by a committee that includes youth, families, and representatives of other stakeholder groups from the Wraparound Oregon school-age project. Activities connected with the school-age project evaluation have primarily focused on gathering baseline data against which progress at the system, program, and individual youth/family levels can be measured.

The “service” portion of the evaluation effort is focused on assessing the quality of the wraparound process that is being offered to youth and children and their families. One of the main tools for this assessment is the Wraparound Fidelity Index 4.0, which is being used with all youth and caregivers at the six-month interview.
Initial interviews with youth and caregivers provided a baseline “snapshot” of youth and caregiver experiences prior to entry into Wraparound Oregon. Data is also collected ever six-months. When that data is entered into the evaluation database, Wraparound Oregon can then assess change in living situation, living stability, and overall quality of life. Several youth and caregivers have also completed one-year interviews. As data from these interviews becomes available, we will be able to assess change on a broader range of outcomes, including strengths, participation, service coordination, optimism and empowerment.
